Opened June, 1983 Le Panier (translated "bread basket")
was created by a Frenchman living in the U.S. who missed his
daily baguette and croissant. He brought in French bakers
and began baking... reflecting what you would find in a local
boulangerie (bakery) and patisserie (pastry shop) in France.
Le Panier immediately became a popular destination for visitors
to Pike Place Market, as well as our friends in Seattle. Located
at the corner of Stewart Street & Pike Place, in the heart
of the market, we celebrate twenty-plus years of serving you.
We have worked hard to develop Le Panier into what it
is today: a genuine taste of France.
The success of Le Panier is its consistent product quality - fresh ingredients,
no preservatives, baked every day on site - always keeping in mind the traditional
breads and pastries of France. |
